Dedicated, kind-hearted and enthusiastic. Dr. Carrie Murphy’s desire and focus is to help children and adults that have difficulty with vision, balance and focus. Encouraging patients to take vision beyond just 20/20 and help them reach their full potential through vision. After practicing in the US for 13 years Dr. Murphy moved back to Ontario in 2021 to be close again to her family. Most recently Dr. Murphy practiced in Seattle, Washington where she worked collaboratively with local schools, outdoor and home-schooling organizations emphasizing the importance of efficient visual functioning and binocularity.
Dr. Murphy is a 2010 graduate of the New England College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. While in school she was very active with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and hopes to continue to be involved with philanthropies dedicated to providing vision care to the underprivileged. She is currently an active member of Vision Therapy Canada, American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She is a new member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO). Formerly Dr. Murphy was proud to serve as the Washington State coordinator for COVD. She is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD).
